Despite the modern buildings, the city cannot be denied its charm. Kos was virtually completely destroyed in the 1933 earthquake and later rebuilt. What caught our attention was the plane tree of Hippocrates, under which, according to legend, the father of medicine taught. In fact, the tree is around 700 years old and is one of the oldest trees in Europe.
